1 x ASSISTANT CLERK OF COURT – MUTARE MAGISTRATES’ COURT.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons within the Mutare Community to fill the position of Assistant Clerk of Court which has arisen within Judicial Service Commission. The Commission is a dynamic organization that comprises of competent and professional staff. The vacancy is at Mutare Magistrates’ Court.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Clerk of Court will assist the Provincial Magistrate to:

  • Maintain all criminal, civil court records and maintenance records;
  • Administer the court on a daily basis as Clerk of Court;
  • Receive exhibits and record them in the registers;
  • Prepare appeal, scrutiny and review records as per the Magistrates Court Act;
  • Attend to clients with general queries;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Provincial Magistrate.

COMPETENCE AND SKILLS FOR POST:

The person must possess:

  1. At least 2 Advanced Level Passes.
  2. Be able to demonstrate sound work ethics and capacity to maintain high professional standards.
