Position: Credit Analyst

AFC Land & Development Bank of Zimbabwe is recruiting a Credit Analyst for Chinhoyi. The analyst will assess creditworthiness, evaluate financial risk, and support the credit management team with data-driven insights.

🧠 Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluating client credit data and financial statements.
- Conducting analysis for new, changed, or refinancing requests.
- Assessing creditworthiness and providing recommendations.
- Reviewing credit applications and performing credit checks.
- Developing spreadsheets and analytical models.
- Ensuring compliance with Bank lending protocols.
- Identifying discrepancies, variances, and risks.
- Supporting improvements to credit processes and policies.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- 2–5 years strong quantitative experience.
- Excellent understanding of financial ratios and credit assessment concepts.
- Advanced experience with financial analysis software.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
